If you have a unique ride based on cycle technology or a battery operated device (12-48 volts) such as a stair lift chair, I have a strong background resolving problems common to this equipment.

Micro Mobility Electric Vehicles (MMEV) fill the gap between walking and driving a car. This is an evolving mode of transportation that is efficient, easy to use, convenient, and fun. In Florence, the variety of MMEVs to suit gated communities are extensive. mobilityflorence works on many types of these mobility devices, but be aware that many components and designs are proprietary and/or no manuals exist.

That noted, almost all of the MMEVs operate similarly with the same fundamental parts (motor, controller, throttle, battery) which can be independently tested and repaired or replaced. Lost or broken keys, water damaged switches or electronics, and damaged wiring or connectors are typical problems with which mobilityflorence has extensive experience and in-stock parts.

I have experience opening and repairing hub motors, testing Hall sensors and controller Hall signals. I build small custom lithium batteries for myself (not for sale) and can help with diagnosis and simple repairs to wiring on most MMEV lithium ion (LiIo) batteries, including lithium iron phosphate (LiFePo4) at most voltages used for MMEV purposes, typically 24v to 60v or more. I do keep limited tools for basic battery evaluations and am experienced with performance expectations.

I honestly evaluate my ability to do any work I undertake. If I am not comfortable with what I feel needs work, I cannot accept that job but will do what I can to direct anyone to the assistance needed. If I believe a job is within the scope of my knowledge and skills but not my experiences, I let the client know and decide how to move forward. If I work on a project, I will keep the client informed of progress and issues and do my best to start and finish jobs quickly. I work in a small home-based shop, but to keep costs low I DO NOT have a “storefront” and come to the customer .
